User Reviews

BeAware Deaf Assistant is praised for its ease of use and ability to help deaf or hard-of-hearing users follow conversations, including line-by-line transcripts others can read. It’s helpful for family communication and inclusion. However, transcription accuracy is a key issue, with transcripts often containing errors or confusing phrasing, limiting reliability. Some users also report stability or UI quirks in isolated reviews. Overall, it’s a valuable accessibility tool when transcription is reliable, but accuracy and stability improvements are needed.

I’m writing this in hope that one day this app could flourish. Most app you have to pay for them and it’s not easy if you don’t have the funds. Unfortunately I am that person who struggle with work. This app I found and I’m trying it out and I do love some features it has but the one feature I feel that needs work is the speech recognition or transcription. It doesn’t really help if it’s not the exact words that are spoken and it’s very finicky. I know app charge to better the app and honestly I understand the concept and unfortunately this app would need true Ai system to get it off the ground. I know some people hate it but Ai is a tool meant to help not replace.

I like the ease of use, but it regularly crashes.

It works pretty well. Very satisfied. I use it to help my great grandma (who is very hard of hearing) understand what is being said to her. It’s truly worth it. She feels more included in daily life and we don’t have to repeat ourself 100 times. It’s saved her a lot of heartache.
