Inkling: Riso Print

Pick any photo. Inkling reads the scene, pairs the inks, and turns it into a tactile riso print in one tap. Pay once for clean, full-resolution exports.

Inkling turns photographs into real print: the fluorescent three-colour overprint of a Risograph, the graphic punch of a duotone, the coarse dots of newsprint, the heavy ink of a screen print.

This is not a filter layer. Inkling simulates what a press actually does —

SEPARATION. The image is split into single-colour plates by what each ink actually absorbs: blue takes red, pink takes green, orange takes blue, black takes the grey. What comes out is still the photo you took, not a picture forced into two colours.

SCREENING. Coverage becomes dots whose area is proportional to ink, on a grid rotated to the screen angle you set. Put two plates too close in angle and they collide into moiré — whether you want that is up to you.

OVERPRINT. Starting from the paper colour, plates press down one after another. Ink is transparent, so overlaps go dark. Each plate shifts a few pixels along its own angle: the first lands truest, the rest drift — exactly like a real press.

The "flaws" of printing are the aesthetic. That's why misregistration is a control, not an error to fix.
