Import the ground plan from your art director, scale it to real dimensions, and plot over the actual set. Organize a whole show as multiple setups — intros, eliminations, finales — in one project.

REAL LENSES, REAL COVERAGE Set focal length in millimeters, toggle Full Frame and Super 35, and stretch the FOV cone to any distance with live readouts of your exact frame width. Lock a camera onto a subject and it tracks as either one moves. Scale and measure real distances in feet and inches.

A TRUE DIRECTOR'S VIEWFINDER Hold up your iPhone or iPad and see the shot through the real camera. Pick the body — Alexa, FX6, Komodo, Ronin 4D and more — swipe through your lens kit on an endless roll, and grade the image with true 3D LUTs, including four slots for your own .cube files. See the sun's path drawn over your framed shot for any date using your location and compass — golden-hour planning while you're still scouting. On Pro iPhones, a LiDAR measure mode reads the exact distance to your subject. Captures save silently to a CamPlot album in Photos and onto the camera in your plot.

THE CALCULATORS Four cinematographer's tools built in. Media: recording time on any card for dozens of real cameras and their actual formats. Depth of field: a live photographic preview you can pinch to reframe, with staggered subjects that fall out of focus. Sensor sizes: any two or three sensors drawn to scale. Exposure: interlocking ISO, aperture, shutter, and ND dials that balance each other like a real camera.

MOVEMENT, JIBS, AND DOLLIES Plot camera and subject movement with multi-point paths, save a lens and facing per position, and hit play to watch your blocking come alive. Put a camera on a jib arm or dolly track and CamPlot keeps every move within what the rig can physically do.
