Brake Bedding

Bed in new brake pads correctly: the app counts braking runs from 80 km/h using motion sensors and GPS, tracks pauses, distance and the cool-down phase.

Brake Bedding guides you through the brake pad bedding-in (burnishing) procedure recommended for new pads and rotors - using nothing but your iPhone.

HOW IT WORKS

• Calibrate gravity and the motion axis once
• Accelerate to 80 km/h and brake down to 15 km/h - the app detects deceleration of 0.25 G and counts the run
• 12 braking runs with at least 15-second pauses between them
• A 10-minute cool-down phase afterwards
• Progress tracking up to the 200 km break-in distance
