Gadenin keeps everything you grow in one place: what you planted, the photos you took along the way, the work you did and what you harvested. Spend a few seconds on a note today, and a whole season is waiting for you next spring.

WHAT YOU CAN DO

Keep a plant for everything you grow Pick your crop from the catalogue by its English name, then call the plant whatever you like - "Balcony tomatoes 2026" works fine. Choose a genre (vegetables, fruit trees, herbs, flowers, houseplants and succulents, trees, bonsai) and record how you started it: sowing, transplanting, cuttings, division, bulbs, layering, grafting or runners. Several crops sharing one pot or bed? Register them as a mixed planting and keep notes for each one. Nothing in the catalogue? Ask for it to be added from inside the app.

Photos and video, in order Every growing note takes a memo, up to six photos or short videos (60 seconds each), free text labels and the weather at the time. The Timeline tab is a full-screen feed of your photo notes in order, so you can swipe through a plant changing week by week. Harvest notes are separate, and each plant adds up what you have picked so far. Photos are re-encoded on your phone before they are uploaded, so the location data in the original file never leaves the device.

A work log you will actually use Log the jobs you do - plant care, propagation, fertiliser, pests and disease, soil prep, harvest - for a single day or a period, with photos, and link each one to as many plants as you like. Pick tasks and symptoms from a searchable tag list ("yellowing", "aphids", "feeding", "pinching") so you can pull up every note with the same tag later.

Weather where you garden Set your country and region, or let the app read it from your location, and the home screen shows the forecast alongside your plants.

Growers, not influencers Make your records public and you join a community of people growing the same things. Follow growers, like and comment on their notes, and browse the Community tab. Fill in a grower profile - balcony, garden, allotment, farmer, producer, instructor, trade - with how long you have been at it, and it shows as a badge. All of it is optional: you choose whether your records are public or private and can change it any time, and you can report or block anyone. Follows, likes and comments arrive in an in-app notification list.

Your account, your data Sign in with Google or Apple. Your plants and notes sync to the server, so a new phone picks up where you left off. You can delete your account and everything stored on the server from Settings at any time.

English and Japanese The app follows your device language, and you can switch it in Settings. Temperatures are always in degrees Celsius and lengths in centimetres.

FREE AND PREMIUM

Everything above is free, with two limits: up to 5 plants growing at once, and 30 photos a month (a video counts as three; the count resets on the 1st). Growing notes, work logs, reading other people's records, following, likes and comments have no cap at all.

Gadenin Premium lifts both limits and adds:

Premium is an auto-renewing subscription, monthly or yearly. The price is shown in your store's currency and amount on the purchase screen. It renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends, and you can cancel any time from your device's subscription settings. Purchases can be restored from Settings.
