I made this app as a simple way to monitor my garden. I wanted to not only be able to take notes and log images, but be able to look back on previous months and years at specific plant care events. For example, I made an entry of when I sowed my cucumber seeds (which was perfect timing), and will be looking back at that entry next year to try and replicate it. Gardening is an ongoing learning process and GrowNotes is designed to make that process easier.

You’d think it wouldn’t be hard to find a simple way to document your gardening to look back on year after year and see what works and what doesn’t… but everything is geared towards garden planning or plant ID or crazy AI systems. This is exactly what I need… a garden *journal* so next year when I wonder when my hellebores are going to bloom I can look back to this year, and when I’m wondering where the heck my bleeding hearts went, I can remind myself that they go dormant mid summer. Thank you, dev, for creating this lovely, not overcomplicated tool and I look forward to using it for years to come.

This app seems like it has promise, and I like the design, but the basic version is too limited. I would love to upgrade to pro and unlock multi-plant entries (which honestly seems like a pretty baseline feature), but I am so deeply tired of AI being shoved into every single thing, often without any ability to opt out. I don’t want ✨AI growing tips✨ I just want a place to keep track of my own plants, with my own brain & hands. Ditch all the AI and I’d absolutely subscribe.

I grow all my flowers from seed each year. I would be in trouble without this amazing app to keep everything straight…who I bought from, how and when to sow, companion planting, notes, also has AI imbedded for quick guides AND the Pro version is worth every penny with a task reminder, the ability to upload or take your own photos and so much more! Get organized today with Grow Notes you will love it.
