HOW IT WORKS Flapboard is a two-app system, like a TV and its remote: • Flapboard Display (this app) runs on the iPad you set on a shelf or mount on the wall. It just displays. • Flapboard Remote (a separate download for iPhone or iPad) is where you compose messages and control everything.

Sign in with the same account on both, choose which board this iPad shows, and you're done. You can then change what's on the board from your phone, from the next room or the other side of the world.

BOARDS YOU CAN SHOW • Messages — notes to the family flip into view with the classic split-flap animation and sound • Flight — live departure info for a flight you're tracking: route, gate, times, delays, status • Weather — current conditions or today's forecast for your zip code • Quotes — a rotating quote of the day, or your own collection • Countdown — days remaining until a birthday, vacation, or launch day
