bbbbb: Coding Agent Alerts

Walk away from long builds and coding tasks. bbbbb keeps anything that needs your attention visible until you resolve it—privately, on your iPhone.

You started a long build and walked away. Later, it finished, failed, or stopped because it needed an answer. bbbbb puts that update on your iPhone.

bbbbb (pronounced “B-five”) is a private inbox for updates from coding agents, builds, tests, deployments, backups, scripts, and any service that can send a web request.

Most notifications disappear after a few seconds. bbbbb keeps the important ones around. Updates that need a response go to Attention and stay there until you resolve them. Everything else goes to Activity, so you can see what happened without losing track of what still needs you.

Use bbbbb to:

• Walk away from a build or deploy and hear when it needs you.
• Find out when a coding agent finishes or gets stuck on a question.
• Catch a failed test suite or a deployment waiting for approval.
• See results from experiments, backups, scheduled jobs, and automations.
• Send yourself a reminder that stays visible until you deal with it.

Setup takes about a minute. On your computer, tell your coding agent:

“Set up bbbbb at bbbbb.app/setup.”

It creates a private HTTP Source and gives you a temporary QR code or six-digit code to approve on your iPhone.

Apps, automations, webhooks, and other services can create an HTTP Source directly in the app. The optional CLI for macOS and Linux can also wrap any command: success goes to Activity, while failure goes to Attention.

Every update shows which Source sent it, so your laptop, CI, server, and other tools stay separate. Search and filter by text, status, Source, and date. Each Source can be renamed, paused, or removed on its own. Missed a notification? Open the app and the update is still there.

bbbbb is private by design:

• Sources can send updates, but they cannot read your inbox.
• Notifications never reveal job details.
• Recent updates are encrypted for catch-up, so the relay cannot read them.
• Face ID or your device passcode protects the inbox.
• No account, ads, tracking, or remote control.

All core features are free. Plus increases update limits, extends encrypted catch-up, and adds on-device JSON and CSV export. It is a one-time purchase, not a subscription.

Requires iOS 18.4 or later. The optional CLI supports macOS and Linux.
