Wondermint

What if screen time could actually feel good — for the whole family?

Wondermint turns screen time and allowance into a currency your kids earn — and choose how to spend, save, or trade. Less arguing. More wonder. One source of truth for the whole family.

Tired of being the bad cop? You threaten to take the devices away, only to find it's short-lived. You feel guilty they've been on it all afternoon — and guilty taking it away too. The rules keep changing. Every conversation becomes a negotiation. Nobody's winning.

Wondermint changes the mechanic. When kids earn their screen time and allowance, everything shifts. They use less of it. They value it more. And the daily fight quietly disappears.

How it works Earn. Spend. Save. Trade.

Earn — Kids earn minutes, money, or points by doing real-world activities that build them up. Reading, chores, practice, kindness — whatever you decide is good for them.

Spend — Kids can spend minutes on screen time and money on the things they want. The magic is watching them do the math and decide: is this worth it?

Save — In a world of instant gratification, kids learn to set goals and save toward what they really want. One of the strongest predictors of long-term success.

Trade — Kids can request to trade minutes for other rewards — a trip to the arcade, a friend over, something on their wishlist. Watch screen time get traded for something more meaningful.

What changes at home Better attitude, better focus — when kids earn their screen time, they use less of it, and everything comes back. More appreciation, less entitlement — what used to feel like a given starts to feel like a prize. The short fuse — gone. A lot of tension in the house comes from unmanaged screen time. A healthy relationship with the screen — kids learn that screen time isn't inherently bad. It's about balance. Everyone on the same page — partners, co-parents, grandparents, babysitters. One shared source of truth. The version of them you remember — less influenced by the algorithm, more themselves.

Kudos and Thank Yous Gratitude is a habit. Parents can leave a Kudos note. Kids can send a Thank You. Grandparents, aunts, uncles, godparents — the whole village — can send encouragement that lands in one place, instead of buried in texts.

Shared goals Kids can team up with siblings, cousins, or best friends across families and work toward the same goal, together. A day at the arcade. A weekend camping trip. A family vacation. When someone else is in it with them, the motivation is different — and it sticks.

Life lessons built in Responsibility. Saving. Discernment. Patience. Balance. Accountability. Gratitude. Prioritization. Consequences. These aren't taught — they're practiced, one small decision at a time.
