Less screen time, more money!
You've asked them to put the phone down. BuckTime! gives them a reason to.
Every morning, the whole day's money is already your child's. Time on the apps
you chose is the only thing that spends it — so what they don't spend, they
keep. You fund it, at an amount you set. And because it's already theirs, the
decision becomes theirs too.
THE HOURS BACK
That's the point of all this. Time off the screen is time at the table, out of
the house, asleep at a sensible hour, or bored enough to find something better.
Parents don't want a usage chart. They want their kid back in the room.
NO CONFISCATION. NO ARGUMENTS.
BuckTime! doesn't take the phone away. Nothing is deleted, no door is slammed,
and running out of money blocks nothing — the phone still works, it's just no
longer the only thing worth doing. Going over is always allowed; it simply
costs. Screen time falls because your child chose to walk away, and a choice
they made themselves is the one that lasts. It also takes you out of the role of
the person who keeps saying no.
HOW IT WORKS
You answer two questions: how much screen time is reasonable on a school day,
and what a day is worth. You pick which apps count. Everything up to that limit
costs nothing; past it, every minute spends the day's money. Nothing leaves your
hands until you approve it.
BUCK BREAKS
Optional hours — dinner, homework, bedtime — when screen time costs double. The
apps you picked show a BuckTime! reminder screen, which your child can dismiss;
it's a nudge, not a lock. They're simply the most expensive minutes of the day
to spend, which is what makes them the cheapest to skip.
GOALS WORTH WAITING FOR
They name something they're saving towards and watch the total climb. You
approve every goal, so you always know what they're aiming at. Getting there
takes weeks, not minutes — learning to wait is half the lesson. Finished goals
go in their trophy case.
THREE JARS
Earnings split into Spend, Save and Give. You set the split, and on Family you
can match what goes into Save or Give.
DOUGH'NATE
They pick a cause and give some of what they earned. You approve it, they see it
land. Generosity means more when it's their own money.
MONEY SCHOOL
Short lessons on earning, saving, and what things really cost — unlocked as they
go.

and devices, a second parent, fitness rewards, parent jar matching and advanced

BuckTime! isn't a bank. It doesn't hold or move your money, there's no card, no
account for your child, and no ads.
Fewer hours on the screen. A reason to save, a habit of giving, and a kid who
knows what an hour of their time is worth.
