Features & Capabilities

An offline atlas of the biblical world — cities, journeys, eras, rulers, battles and family trees. Bible-sourced, with an optional scholarly Extended layer.

Scripture Atlas is a beautiful, fully offline atlas of the biblical world — every identifiable place in Scripture on one living, hand-drawn map you can zoom, pan and travel through time.

THREE LANGUAGES The full interface, and every place and person name, is localized to English, Ukrainian and Russian (Synodal) — switch anytime.

BIBLE AT THE CENTRE In Bible mode, every place name, ruler, priest, prophet and event is drawn from the Bible itself (KJV book names, 66-book canon). Tap any city for its country in the chosen era, alternate biblical names, notable people who lived there, and every verse that mentions it.

TRAVEL THROUGH TIME Move across the eras — from the Patriarchs to the New Testament — and watch the kingdoms and borders change. Hold the year to open a dial that snaps to the exact years the map changes: a king accedes, a city is first named, a nation rises.

READ A BOOK Choose a book or chapter and the map shows only its places. Curated journeys — Abraham, the Exodus, Jonah, David's flight, Paul's voyages and more — draw their routes with numbered stops, each leg cited to Scripture.

FAMILY TREES Explore interactive genealogies straight from the text — from Adam to Noah, and the line of Jesus as given by both Matthew and Luke. Tap any name to re-centre the tree and read who they were.

BATTLES Study the wars of Scripture — who fought whom, their allies and commanders, the armies and the losses Scripture records — from Genesis 14 to the Maccabees. Optionally plot battle sites on the map; they surface as you zoom in.

HONEST ABOUT WHAT'S KNOWN Firmly identified sites are shown solid; disputed or uncertain locations are shown as open markers — so you always know how sure the map is.

AN OPTIONAL EXTENDED LAYER Switch on Extended mode for cited extra-biblical context: the real rulers behind the prophecies (Alexander, the Ptolemies and Seleucids, the Herods and Roman governors), the intertestamental Maccabean history, archaeology and modern site names, army estimates for the battles, and what stands on the land today. Each entry names its source and is clearly marked as extra-biblical.

BUILT FOR STUDY

  • Works entirely offline. No account, no ads, no tracking, no data collected.
  • Universal — iPhone and iPad.
  • A clear legend, sources & credits, and a plain data notice built in.

Scripture is the source of truth in Bible mode; the Extended layer draws on external scholarship that can be uncertain or disputed, and is provided to the best of our knowledge for study. Always verify against Scripture and primary sources.
