Critterhood is a community-powered wildlife alert system that helps you stay informed about animal activity near your home, your child’s school, your workplace, your favourite walking trail, or anywhere else that’s important to you. When someone in the community reports a wildlife sighting, nearby users receive an immediate notification, helping everyone stay aware of wildlife activity before heading outside.

Whether it’s a black bear roaming through the neighbourhood, a coyote spotted near a park, raccoons getting into garbage bins, or deer feeding in local gardens, Critterhood keeps you connected to what’s happening around you in real time. Receive alerts for black bears, grizzly bears, raccoons, wolves, coyotes, cougars, deer, moose, and other wildlife according to community demand.

Create one or more Alert Zones around the places that matter most and choose a notification radius that works for you. When wildlife is reported within that area, you’ll receive an instant push notification so you can stay aware before heading outside.

Choose when wildlife alerts matter most to you. Critterhood includes configurable Alert Time Windows that go beyond system Focus Modes, allowing you to receive notifications only during the times that are important to you, such as before the morning school run, during an evening walk, or while you’re spending time at the cottage.

Fast, anonymous reporting

Reporting a sighting takes only seconds. No account is required. Simply open the report screen, select the species, indicate whether the animal was simply sighted or behaving aggressively, optionally include additional details, and submit. Your report immediately helps keep your community informed.
