Fast, Simple VNC Remote Access
Turn your iPhone or iPad into a natural remote control for your Mac. Glassy Desk connects directly to Screen Sharing or Remote Management built into macOS, so you can view and use your desktop from the device already in your hand.
Find a Mac automatically on your local network, or add any reachable VNC/RFB host by name or IP address. Save computers for quick access, wake supported Macs before connecting, and return to recent sessions in a tap. Connect on the same local network or through a VPN that can reach the Mac. No separate Mac companion app or cloud relay is required.
TOUCH, TYPE, AND NAVIGATE
• Choose direct touch or trackpad mode
• Tap, drag, right-click, scroll, and pinch to zoom
• Follow the pointer while zoomed
• Type with the on-screen keyboard or a connected hardware keyboard
• Send Command, Control, Option, Shift, arrow, function, and common shortcut keys
BUILT FOR REAL MAC SETUPS
• Discover nearby Macs with Bonjour
• Add hosts manually by name or IP address and choose a custom port
• Save usernames, passwords, and Wake-on-LAN addresses
• Check availability and review recent connection history
• Select a remote display when multiple screens are available
• Tune motion with Battery Saver, Balanced, and Responsive frame rate modes
• Automatically reconnect after brief network interruptions
• Remember display, zoom, touch, pointer-following, and frame rate preferences for every saved computer
• Send the desktop to an external display while the iPhone or iPad becomes a trackpad and keyboard controller
SIRI AND SHORTCUTS
Connect to a saved computer, open the host list, refresh nearby computers, add a computer, or disconnect a session with Siri and the Shortcuts app.
PRIVATE, DIRECT CONNECTIONS
Glassy Desk connects your device directly to the computer you choose. Saved computer data and recent sessions sync through your private iCloud database. Passwords are protected with encrypted storage and are used only to authenticate with your selected computer.
COMPATIBILITY
Designed and tested for classic macOS Screen Sharing over VNC/RFB. Other standards-based VNC servers may work. Your Mac must be awake and reachable unless Wake-on-LAN is configured. Glassy Desk does not use the proprietary high-performance Screen Sharing protocol.
Free sessions are timed. Glassy Desk Pro removes the session limit.
