GateShell is a premium SSH and SFTP client with a simple promise: your servers, your keys, your device — nothing in between. No backend servers, no relays, no tracking, no data collection.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN • Zero backend — GateShell runs entirely on-device. There's no server to breach because there is no server. • Credentials are stored in the hardware-encrypted Apple Keychain, never in plaintext. • Connections go directly from your device to your server. No middleman. • No analytics, no telemetry. We don't know who you are or what you connect to.

SECURE CONNECTIONS • Verified host keys — GateShell pins each server's identity and warns you the instant a host key changes, protecting you from man-in-the-middle attacks. • On-device SSH key manager — generate ed25519, P-256, or RSA keys, name them, and assign them per server. Private keys never leave the Keychain. • Face ID / Touch ID lock to keep your servers safe even if your device isn't.

A REAL TERMINAL • Full XTerm-256 color terminal with fullscreen mode. • Gesture controls — swipe, pinch to zoom, long-press to paste. • 12+ themes, command snippets, and history-aware autocomplete.

FILES & CODE • Browse, upload, and download over SFTP with progress tracking. • Built-in editor with syntax highlighting for 13+ languages — open, edit, and save remote files in place. • Git on the go — check status, stage, and commit on any connected server.

POWER TOOLS • Local, remote, and dynamic SOCKS port forwarding. • Session logging with search and export. • On-device privacy guardrails: automatic secret/password redaction in logs, and a warning before dangerous commands run — all computed locally.

SYNC EVERYWHERE • iCloud keeps your servers in sync across iPhone, iPad, and Mac, encrypted end-to-end.
