SSH terminal, fresh & clean
Terminalko is a focused SSH terminal for iOS and iPadOS. Manage your servers, run an interactive shell, and keep work secure, all from a clean SwiftUI interface designed for touch.
[ SSH, done right on iOS ]
Terminalko connects to modern SSH servers using libssh2 with rsa-sha2-256/512 negotiation. Sessions run in a true xterm-256color PTY with ANSI colors, scrollback, and a keyboard-aware layout that adapts as you type.
[ Core features ]
• Saved servers: Store hosts with name, address, user, port, and a custom icon. Secrets live in the iOS Keychain; metadata stays on your device.
• Password or key auth: Use a password or an OpenSSH PEM private key with optional passphrase.
• Jump hosts: Connect through a bastion in one hop (direct-tcpip via libssh2).
• Command snippets: Save frequently-used commands and tap to send them into the active session, terminated with Return.
• Connection Keeper: Optional auto-reconnect retries dropped sessions up to 5 times (1s, 2s, 4s, 8s, 12s) with a visible overlay and cancel option.
• Multiple sessions: Run several SSH sessions in parallel and switch between them with the session pill bar.
[ Privacy ]
Terminalko stores everything on-device. There are no analytics, no ads, no accounts, and no telemetry. Connection logs stay on your device. The app contacts only the servers you explicitly add.
[ Security first ]
• App Lock: Gate the app behind Face ID, Touch ID, Optic ID, or your device passcode. Choose a grace period (immediately, 30s, 1m, 5m, 15m) and decide whether to skip re-auth while a session is active.
• Lock screen masks content in the app switcher.
• Secrets are stored in the iOS Keychain, never exported, never synced without your input.
• RSA or In-app Ed25519 key generation produces an OpenSSH private key plus an authorized_keys line, ready to deploy.
[ Built for iOS and iPadOS ]
• Native SwiftUI app: one binary, optimized layouts for both.
• Landscape tablet layout: optional sidebar with saved servers and Quick Connect alongside the connection form.
• Adjustable font size 8 to 28 pt; Dark, Auto, or Light app theme; a Red terminal theme for fans of monochrome glow.
• URL detection: tap http and https links in terminal output to open in Safari.
• Caps Lock as Control: remap the modifier for shell-style editing.
• Keep Screen On: disable auto-lock while a session is open.
[ Requirements ]
iOS or iPadOS 17 or later. A modern SSH server. Face ID or Touch ID recommended for App Lock.
Terminalko is built for developers, sysadmins, and tinkerers who need a fast, no-frills SSH client that respects the device.
