ATLAS Scan Kiosk is the attendance companion to ATLAS — The Horizon Works Group's student information and operations platform for state-licensed, clock-hour vocational schools. It turns an iPhone into a fast, reliable attendance station: mount a device at the entrance and students clock in and out by holding up their QR code with no logins, no paper sign-in sheets, and no manual roll call.

HOW IT WORKS Set the device up once as a kiosk and point it at the entryway. When a student presents their QR code, ATLAS Scan Kiosk reads it, records the clock-in or clock-out in your school's ATLAS records, and shows an instant confirmation, a green flash and "Clocked in," or the clock hours credited on the way out. The kiosk re-arms automatically for the next student.

WORKS EVEN WHEN THE WI-FI DOESN'T Connectivity drops happen. ATLAS Scan Kiosk keeps working through an outage: scans are saved securely on the device and sync automatically the moment the connection returns, so attendance isn't lost to see at a glance when the kiosk is offline and how many scans are waiting to sync.

PRIVACY BY DESIGN • The camera is used only to read QR codes and no photos or video are stored • The QR contains an opaque attendance token with no personal information • No student accounts and no login on the device • Scans are sent only to your school's own ATLAS backend with no third-party tracking or analytics

FOR ADMINISTRATORS
A hidden diagnostics panel lets staff check the kiosk's status, confirm it's connected, and complete setup without interrupting scanning for students.

REQUIRES ATLAS ATLAS Scan Kiosk works with ATLAS, The Horizon Works Group's platform for clock-hour vocational schools, and is intended for schools that use ATLAS for attendance and student records. Each kiosk is provisioned by your administrator before its first use.
