When it's time to move, link your mover's Lot & Piece tags so the carrier's label finds your box too.

The tag is simply how you get from a physical box to its digital record — you pick whichever kind fits the box. A QR code label is free to make, prints straight to a label printer or PDF, shows a name you can read at a glance, and opens the box the moment your camera sees it — ideal for tagging a whole stack at once. An NFC tag needs no camera and no line of sight: stick one on a box (or a reusable bin) and tap your phone to it to pull the box up, even in a dark truck or a packed closet — then re-write it when the bin holds something new. Both do the same job; one scan lands on everything inside.

Start by creating boxes and filling them with items, or track a single large item like a couch or refrigerator on its own. Assign every box a room so unpacking sorts itself, snap photos of what's inside and set a cover image, and add items hands-free with on-device voice capture when your arms are full of packing tape.

Finding things again is the whole point. Beyond QR and NFC, scan a serial number or barcode with your camera, and search your entire inventory by name, room, or contents to land on the right box in seconds.
