Turn light into art. LightInk is a long-exposure camera built for light painting: wave a flashlight, a sparkler or your phone screen in the dark, and watch trails of light paint your photo.

No photography degree needed: you pick the vibe, the app handles the tricky settings. You just paint.

WHAT YOU CAN DO • Long exposures from 15 to 90 seconds, with a self-timer to get in position • "Ambiance" control: tell the app how dark your scene is, it sets the sensor for you • Automatic focus: tap the screen to aim, falls back to infinity in the dark • A live preview where you watch your light trail appear as you draw • A private on-device gallery, every shot saved with its settings • Share your best work with the LightInk community • Vote for other artists with "flashes", follow your favourites, climb the artist levels • The weekly event: one theme, one entry per artist, and a profile title to win on the podium • Light and dark themes — in English, French, German and Spanish

WHAT TO PAINT WITH • A flashlight or head torch: the cleanest line for writing and drawing • A sparkler: that shower of golden embers, the light painting classic • Your phone screen: a wide, colourful light, perfect for filling shapes • Neon strips, fairy lights, glowing toys: bold, steady colours • Car headlights, fireworks, the city at night: the trails draw themselves

FREQUENTLY ASKED • A tripod? Not required — rest your phone on a table, a wall, a bag. The self-timer avoids the shake when you tap Start. • How long an exposure? 15–30s for a word or a signature, 45–90s to build a whole scene with several lights. • Do I set the ISO? Forget it: pick the Ambiance that matches your scene and the app sets the sensitivity for you; in Auto mode (supported devices) it even meters the scene live and warns you if the room is too bright. • Will I show up in the photo? Only if you want to: keep moving in dark clothes and you stay invisible; hold still for a few seconds and you appear. • Does it work indoors? Yes — a dark room, lights off, blinds closed.

Payment is charged to your App Store account at confirmation of purchase. The subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; renewal is charged within 24 hours before the period ends. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your App Store account settings.
