MySLPTools

MySLPTools is a free practice and home-support app for adults recovering from stroke, aphasia, traumatic brain injury (TBI), and dementia — and for the families and caregivers helping them. It was created by a practicing speech-language pathologist (SLP) to make post-acute recovery easier to understand and to do at home.

WHO IT IS FOR

• Adults living with aphasia, apraxia, or other communication changes
• Survivors of stroke or TBI working on thinking and language skills
• People with dementia and their care partners
• Anyone sent home on a modified (texture-changed) diet or thickened liquids

WHAT YOU CAN DO

• Practice with friendly brain games for memory, attention, language, and problem-solving
• Find recipes made for your exact diet level, with large, easy-to-read steps
• Learn the simple flow tests that confirm drinks and food are the right, safe texture
• Follow a clear "Going Home Plan" with daily routines and warning signs to watch for
• Check swallowing comfort and track how you are doing over time
• Read plain-language guides on aphasia, dysphagia, and recovery
