KhmerIME

Type Khmer the way it sounds. Works completely offline, with an on-device model that understands whole phrases — not just single words.

Write "khnhomtovsalarien" and KhmerIME transliterate it into khmer. No memorising key positions, no switching layouts mid-sentence — just spell the sounds and pick the reading you meant.

WHOLE PHRASES, NOT JUST WORDS Most keyboards guess one word at a time. KhmerIME reads the whole phrase, splits it into words, and offers complete alternative readings. Romanized Khmer is ambiguous — the same letters can be several different words — so the keyboard shows you the choices and lets you pick, instead of guessing wrong and making you fix it.

WORKS OFFLINE Everything runs on your device. No account, no sign-in, no network. The keyboard does not request Full Access, so it cannot see or send what you type, even in principle.

ON-DEVICE INTELLIGENCE A compact language model runs locally on your iPhone to rank suggestions by context. Nothing is uploaded, nothing is logged, nothing leaves the device.

BUILT FOR KHMER The app is in Khmer. It includes a full character reference — all 33 consonants and the vowels with their romanized spellings — so you can look up any letter while you learn.
