Lingo is a private, on-device translator built for your whole day on iPhone — from a quick conversation to a long meeting. Translation and transcription run on your device using Apple's on-device intelligence, so your audio, text, and images never reach our servers.

Speak. Instantly understood. Push to translate short utterances and let both sides follow the conversation naturally. Source language is auto-detected; the target follows your device locale.

See. Understand. Point Live Camera at a menu, sign, or document to see translated overlays in place. Hold steady to freeze the frame, pinch to zoom (1×–5×), and copy the source, the translation, or the image. Switch to Live Text anytime.

Share. Done. Translate from any app with the Share extension. Share selected text for an instant translation sheet, or share a screenshot to get OCR plus a full-screen translated overlay — with the same zoom and copy gestures as Live Camera.

Hear. Remember. Record meetings and conversations, transcribe them automatically, and revisit the transcript anytime. Scrub the timeline and the transcript highlights and auto-scrolls to follow playback. Copy the full transcript or rename any recording. On iPhones with Apple Intelligence, each recording gets an auto-generated title, created on-device.

Keep what matters. Save any translation as a Note and revisit it whenever you like.

Your data. Always yours. Lingo has no account and no sign-in. We don't embed analytics or advertising SDKs, sell your data, or build ad profiles. Because processing happens on-device, there's nothing to collect.

Optional Google Drive sync. Sync is off by default and Lingo works fully offline. Turn it on anytime to back up your notes, transcripts, and recordings to a single "Lingo" folder in your own Google Drive — never through our servers. Lingo uses the narrow drive.file permission and can only see the folder it creates. Disconnect at any time.

Languages Every language pair Apple's on-device Translation framework supports — including English, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Spanish, French, German, and more. The list grows as Apple adds languages.
