Major periods follow the century-old solunar tradition: the two hours centered on the moon's overhead and underfoot passes; minors at moonrise and moonset.

Solunar times are a traditional planning reference that anglers have used for a century. They are an aid, not a promise: season, weather, water, and local knowledge matter at least as much. HookWise tells you when the odds tilt your way; the fish still get a vote.
