X68000 MDX songs in their authentic sound. A product-owned driver/emulator renders YM2151 FM and PCM. No ads, all features free. Open from iCloud Drive or Files.

MDX Flow is a lightweight, modern music player for X68000 MDX-format songs, built for macOS and iOS. It synthesizes YM2151 (OPM) FM voices and ADPCM (PCM) samples from PDX sample banks using a product-owned driver/emulator.

• Faithful playback through a product-owned driver/emulator
• Loads MDX directly from iCloud Drive and other Files storage providers (.mdx / .pdx, plus the compressed .mdx.szip / .pdx.szip)

• Search by title or file name (AND, "phrases", and exclusion; full-width and half-width are treated the same)
• In-song loop (a set number of times, or infinite) plus playlist repeat/shuffle
• Loudness normalization (EBU R128 / -18 LUFS reference) to even out volume between songs
• Selectable PCM interpolation (default is none, closest to the original hardware); a top-quality Core Audio mastering interpolation is also available
• Now Playing integration (Control Center, Lock Screen, menu bar)
• Adjustable text size (accessibility) and a Japanese/English switch

Pricing and privacy

• No ads, ever. Every feature is available without any purchase.
• An optional Tip Jar lets you support development. Purchases unlock nothing.
• No tracking or analytics. An optional community feature (off by default) shares only an anonymous device ID and basic song info (title, length, loudness) when enabled — never your music files, file names, or playback history. Everything else stays on your device.
