Soloist Violin includes a forever-free tuner with A4 from 415–466 Hz, G-D-A-E drones, left-handed layout, tune-by-ear drills, octave protection, and calm hardware guidance. It warns before risky E-string tightening and will not suggest peg changes for uncertain or octave-distant input.

Play lessons and reviewed public-domain music with letters or real treble staff notation. Wait Mode advances only after a clear pitch is held. Its live trace stays neutral when evidence is uncertain; the offline on-device grader owns the final stars. Silence, noise, and unclear notes are not marked wrong.

Use Woodshed for A-B loops, a metronome, accompaniment, 50–120% tempo, and an honest +2 BPM ramp after a clean pass. Practise bow mechanics, intonation, shifts, vibrato, sustain, scales, teaching duets, and an advanced public-domain study.

With enough same-piece evidence, Soloist measures the reduction in median absolute cents error; otherwise it uses a qualitative description and never invents a percentage. Export an optional vertical progress reel only from local reviewed public-domain takes.
