Most focus apps give you an easy way out, but Luddite forces real discipline by completely blocking distractions with zero override. The progression system is gamifies the process - starting with manageable 15-minute blocks and unlocking longer tiers makes building a focus habit feel like leveling up a skill. The lifetime "total reclaimed time" tracker is a massive reality check on how much time we usually waste. It’s also incredibly refreshing to pay a small price upfront to ensure my personal data isn’t being collected or sold (no need to enable every permission!). Highly recommend.

It’s so hard to reduce your screen time and it feels like there are a million apps that promise to help that I’ve never had success with. Luddite has really made it possible for me to just focus and be more present in my life. Knowing that I can’t cheat and get past it means I actually have to commit to taking time away from my phone and it’s been working really well for me. Especially as a student, I’ve found that it’s great when I need to get a lot of work done when I’d rather procrastinate on my phone. I can’t recommend this app enough!
