Tensor Coffee is the official app for the Tensor One precision controller, the engineering-first performance upgrade for the La Marzocco Linea Micra. Where the controller gives you one dial and total control at the machine, this app is where everything comes together: set up your device, design extraction profiles — up to full multi-stage pressure curves — brew and monitor shots live from your phone, review your shot history, and control the machine itself.

PAIR AND CONNECT Find your Tensor One over Bluetooth and connect in seconds. Put the controller on your home WiFi straight from the app for a faster connection that reaches across the room — Bluetooth stays on as an automatic fallback. Your devices are remembered for instant reconnection.

BUILD BREW PROFILES Create and edit the recipes that run on your machine. Design brew-by-time profiles to run a precise extraction on a timer, or brew-by-weight profiles that stop on a target mass when paired with a compatible Bluetooth scale. Set your dose, yield, ratio, image, and name for each profile.

PRESSURE PROFILING With the Tensor Profiling Kit installed, shape the extraction itself: multi-stage pressure profiles with up to six stages from 2 to 9 bar, plus blooms — full pauses with smooth pressure tapers in and out. The app draws your curve as you design it.

BREW FROM YOUR PHONE Start any profile from the app and watch the shot live: timer, weight and flow rate from your scale, and measured pressure traced over your target curve in real time. Stop the shot from your phone at any moment — and shots started at the machine appear live in the app too.

SHOT HISTORY Your shots are recorded on the controller and sync to the app automatically. Review time, weight, and pressure data, and favorite the shots worth repeating.

CONTROL YOUR MACHINE Pair the Tensor One with your Linea Micra and bring the machine into the app: set boiler temperature, adjust steam level, switch standby, and run guided backflush cleaning. Connect by scanning the code on your machine or by signing in with your La Marzocco account — the controller holds the connection itself, so it keeps working when your phone is away. Optional Home Assistant integration for home-automation setups.

CUSTOMIZE YOUR DISPLAY Upload your own images to the controller's integrated display and assign them to profiles. Crop and frame photos right in the app — they sync automatically to every phone paired with your device. Curate the controller's color library with your own custom accent colors, kept in sync between app and dial.

SETTINGS AND UPDATES Adjust display brightness, choose how many profiles appear on the dial, manage scales and calibration — and install firmware updates the controller downloads securely over its own WiFi. Changes made at the dial appear in the app instantly.
