Can I Read Now? is a tool for the grown-up teaching a child to read — not a hands-free app that keeps your child busy while they learn on their own. You and your reader sit together, and the app helps you see exactly what they know and what to practice next.

It does three things:

REFERENCE EVERY SOUND English has 44 sounds and dozens of spellings for them. Tap any sound to see its rule, how the mouth makes it, and example words. It's a quick reference for the parent who wants to explain why "c" says /k/ in cat but /s/ in city — no phonics background required.

TRACK WHAT YOUR CHILD CAN READ As you read together, mark each sound and word as "Reads easily," "Struggled with," "Needed help," or "Doesn't know." Over time the app builds a clear picture of your reader's strengths and the exact sounds and spellings that are still shaky.

BUILD PRACTICE THAT FITS YOUR READER Once you can see the weak spots, the app helps you turn them into short, decodable stories aimed right at those sounds — reading practice built around what your child actually needs, instead of a generic workbook.
