HomeTally is a quiet, private home budget for the whole family — built so your financial information stays private and under your control. No accounts. No tracking. No subscriptions. Pay $4.99 once and the app is yours, working entirely on your iPhone and iPad. WHY HOMETALLY Most budget apps want your bank logins, your email, your data — and they charge you monthly for the privilege. HomeTally takes the opposite approach. Everything you enter stays on your device — or, if you choose, in your own private iCloud — protected by iOS encryption and an optional Face ID, Touch ID, or passcode lock. • Accounts — Track checking, savings, credit cards, cash, loans, and investments. Each account works like a digital checkbook with a running balance.
• Transactions — Record expenses, income, and transfers between accounts. Search, edit, and clear them as they post at your bank.
• Categories — Comes with a thoughtful set of categories, or create your own with custom colors and icons.
• Tags — Add your own labels for the things categories don't capture: a trip, a home project, a tax deduction. A transaction can carry as many as you like, and any tag can be filtered or turned into its own PDF report.
• Budgets — Set monthly limits per category and watch the progress bars track your spending in real time. Green when you're comfortable, amber as you approach the limit, red when you've gone over.
• Import — Bring transactions in from your bank as CSV or OFX files. HomeTally detects duplicates and suggests categories based on your history.
• Recurring — Set up rent, paychecks, and subscriptions once. HomeTally creates them on schedule — and catches up automatically if you haven't opened the app in a while.
• iCloud Sync (optional) — Keep your iPhone and iPad in step through your own private iCloud. You choose when to turn it on, nothing is merged or replaced without your say-so, and you can switch back to On Device anytime. A status indicator shows exactly where your data stands.
