User Reviews

Most reviewers praise the classic MPC-inspired UI, ease of use, and built-in sounds, noting good value for the price. However, recurring issues dominate: audio can be unreliable or missing, the app crashes during play or edit, and hold/sustain features fail after updates. DRM restrictions on Apple Music and limited import/sampling options frustrate users. The UI also feels outdated, with concerns about paid upgrades for existing users. Overall, the app has potential but stability and sampling limitations are significant drawbacks.
Pros
  • Classic MPC-like UI that's easy to use
  • Functional and works well when stable
  • Built-in sounds and sampling/remix capability
  • Good value for the price
Cons
  • Audio issues: frequent no-sound or inconsistent audio
  • Frequent crashes during play or editing
  • Sampling limitations due to Apple Music DRM and restricted import options
  • Hold mode/sustain bugs after updates
  • Outdated UI and concerns about update pricing

This version was way better than the 2nd one or at least looks more Akai than the newer version. So many issues that were never addressed on this version and neither on the other one.

Just for show you can’t import samples. Saved you some time.

Hello thank you for making this app available I’ve been using it for awhile now but recently it’s making a really bit crush effect to every pad I touch. It’s unfortunate because I planned on using it as a midi for a project. But none the less that’s my only issue . Still a dope app .
