WHO IT IS FOR Tertulia Point of Sale is for authors on a Tertulia Pro plan with Stripe payouts enabled. It turns your phone into a register for in-person book sales — no separate setup, no new system to learn. The books on your Tertulia site are the same books you sell here. But you also have the flexibility to make additional in-person charges for other items you sell at events. Tap, charge, done.

WHAT YOU CAN DO

• Sell books from your catalog. Browse the titles and editions you already offer on your author website, choose the format, set the quantity, and add them to a sale in seconds. Prices come straight from your site, so they always match.
• Take a custom charge. Need to ring up a bundle, a piece of merchandise, a commission, or a one-off item that is not in your catalog? Enter any amount with a short description and charge it on the spot.
• Accept card payments in person. Pair a supported Stripe card reader over Bluetooth and let customers tap, insert, or swipe. Payments are captured securely by the reader and processed by Stripe.
• Send receipts by email. Add your customer's email at checkout to send a receipt, and, with their consent, add them to your mailing list so you can stay in touch after the event.
• Manage every order in one place. The Orders tab brings your in-person sales and your online orders together. Open any order to see customer details, the items sold, the total paid, the processing fee, and your net proceeds.
• Stay in sync with your website. Books, orders, and payouts all match what is already on your Tertulia author site, so your records never drift apart.

HOW IT WORKS Sign in with your Tertulia author account and connect your card reader once. From the POS tab, start a sale by choosing books from your catalog or entering a custom amount. Hand the reader to your customer, let them tap, insert, or swipe, and the payment is processed securely by Stripe. Funds are paid out to the Stripe account connected to your Tertulia profile, on the same schedule as the rest of your sales. With Tertulia Point of Sale, a sale takes only a few taps from start to finish.

• An active Tertulia Pro subscription.
• Stripe payouts fully set up on your Tertulia account.
• A supported Stripe card reader for in-person payments.
• A selling location in the United States. In-person card payments are currently available in the United States only.

SECURE BY DESIGN Payments are processed by Stripe. Tertulia Point of Sale never stores card numbers on your device. Card data is handled directly by the card reader and Stripe's secure systems. The app uses your location only to discover and connect to nearby Bluetooth card readers, never to track you.
