Monet is a design-review workbench for iPad, built for one loop: capture a screen, annotate what is wrong with it, hand the result to an AI coding agent, and verify the fix actually landed. Review happens wherever your iPad is.

CAPTURE

• Websites and PWAs through the built-in browser. Crawl a whole sitemap with live progress, capture a single page, or import a folder.
• Native apps through the iOS share sheet or the Photos picker. Tap "Save to Monet" from any app to drop a screenshot straight into the right project and version in one step.
• Gated pages too: sign in inside Monet and capture staging, previews, and client sites behind a login.

IMPORT AND START

• Import Open Design artifact folders as fully annotatable screens, rendered with the same element anchors as a live crawl.
• Move whole projects between Monet apps with .monetproj packages. Send one to a client or teammate; they can open and annotate with no dev tools and no account.
• Start a new project from a GitHub repository or a Vercel project and the form fills itself: name, production URL, and linked repo.

ANNOTATE

• Any screen from any tool: crawled sites, imported design exports, or screenshots from whatever you design in.
• Drag a rectangle with your finger to mark an area; the editor opens at the bottom for the note, category, severity, and status.
• Apple Pencil auto-routes to freehand markup, so you can write, sketch, or circle directly over the screen alongside the rectangles.
• The severity, category, and status vocabulary mirrors the conventions code-review tools use, so the bundle reads naturally to a developer or an AI agent.

HAND OFF

• Generate a bundle with the screenshots, element anchors, your annotations, project metadata, reference images, and connector notes. The schema is documented and stable across versions.
• Monet is agent-agnostic. Send the full pack through the iOS share sheet, or hand the review to any agent app installed on your iPad: Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Cursor, and more.
• Or save to a folder bookmark in Files or your cloud drive.

REPLY AND VERIFY

• Close the loop: when your agent finishes, paste its reply or point Monet at your handoff folder, and every annotation flips to Addressed, Won't fix, or Partial.
• Verify recaptures the pages you marked and compares the exact annotated regions against the baseline, pixels and element anchors both, so fixed means visibly fixed.
• Anything unchanged gets flagged, with one-tap Reopen for the next round.
• Pull review comments from a Vercel preview into the project as page notes.

LOCAL-FIRST

• Your work stays on the iPad by default. Monet has no backend of its own; it makes network requests only for the things you ask it to do: page loads you capture, optional cloud rendering and Design Critic with your own keys, GitHub sign-in, and an app-version check.
• iCloud sync, when you enable it, mirrors your projects and screenshots across every Apple device on your iCloud account (SwiftData metadata over CloudKit, image files over iCloud Drive).
• The optional Design Critic uses your own Anthropic API key, which lives only in this iPad's Keychain and is never uploaded.
