FlyingText is a voice translation app built for face-to-face service. Staff (on iPhone) and customers (on iPad) speak in their own language and see each other's words translated in real time. Just connect the two devices directly over Bluetooth and you're ready to go.

○ Direct Bluetooth connection The staff iPhone and customer iPad connect directly over Bluetooth — no complicated network setup, and you can start right away.

○ Just speak — translated on the spot When a customer speaks in their language, the translation appears on the staff's screen, and vice versa. Smooth, two-way conversation.

○ 20 languages English, Chinese (Simplified/Traditional), Korean, French, Spanish, German, Italian, Portuguese, Dutch, Polish, Ukrainian, Russian, Turkish, Arabic, Hindi, Thai, Vietnamese, Indonesian and Japanese — 20 languages across 6 continents.

○ On-device translation Translation uses Apple's Translation framework. Once language packs are downloaded, translation runs on your device, and translation results are never sent to our servers. (Speech recognition may require an internet connection depending on the language and device.)

○ Your waiting iPad doubles as in-store signage (new in 1.1.0) While no one is at the counter, the iPad's waiting screen draws attention. In 1.1.0, alongside the flag slideshow you can now loop a video of your own — just pick one from Photos or Files in Settings. Run your product or campaign footage, and when a customer taps the screen they go straight to language selection. One device handles both attracting and serving customers.

○ Welcome customers in their own language Customers simply pick their language from a flag. Greet visitors from around the world in their native tongue.

○ Never miss a customer When a customer connects, the staff device is notified right away.

■ How to use

1. Install on a staff iPhone and a customer iPad
2. Staff selects a language (Japanese/English) and waits
3. The customer picks a language from a flag and connects
4. Just talk — your words are translated on the spot

■ Notes • Translation requires downloading language data (an internet connection is recommended for first-time setup). • Devices communicate over Bluetooth and are intended for use at close range (a few meters). • Videos used on the waiting screen are stored on your device and are never uploaded. Please keep an eye on available storage. • Requires iOS 18.6 or later.
