Successor: Ottomans is a decision-making role-playing game set in the classical Ottoman age (1299–1603). From your throne you steer the founding and the rise of the Ottoman Empire. The game opens with Osman I and closes with Mehmed III. Every sultan in between has his own reign, his own death, his own legacy. More than seven hundred historical decisions, each one shaping your reign, the inheritance you leave your successor, and the fate of the dynasty. An emptied treasury is not only the problem of the sultan who emptied it.

Every decision you make carries a price. There is no right answer, only what the moment demands. The promised Constantinople. A Crusader army in Rumelia that wants no Turk there. The courtyard where the Janissary cauldron is overturned. The Imperial Council whose counsel you need yet can never fully trust. Each stands on one side of the throne. You swipe left or right. THE CHRONICLER WRITES As you sit on the throne, the court chronicler watches you. He records every decision you make, weighs it, and carries it to the next sultan. When a sultan dies, his successor inherits not a throne but a ledger. A wrong choice by Bayezid I may be paid for by Mehmed I a decade later. A dynasty does not move by a single accession. It moves across generations.
