DishCheck gives you a second look at menu text when allergies, intolerances, dietary choices, or religious restrictions matter at the table.

Add a diner and choose the restrictions you want to watch. Capture a menu page with the camera or select clear menu photos. DishCheck recognizes the text and uses keyword matching and common-recipe inference to flag possible conflicts, with each flag attributed to the diner and restriction that triggered it.

PRIVACY

DishCheck has no developer-operated account, advertising, analytics, tracking, or menu-analysis server. Diner profiles and scan records are stored on your device. Apple and selected file-provider services may use the network for purchases, chosen files, and system translation or model resources.

LANGUAGE AND DEVICE AVAILABILITY

Translation requires iOS 18 or later, a language pair supported by Apple, and any required language download. If a foreign-language scan needs translation and the translation is unavailable or incomplete, DishCheck does not save a safety result from the untranslated text. Optional Apple Intelligence analysis requires a supported iOS 26 device and can be unavailable.

DishCheck is a planning aid, not medical advice or a food-safety certification. Text recognition, translation, matching, and recipe inference can be incomplete or wrong. The app cannot verify a restaurant's actual recipe, substitutions, preparation methods, or cross-contact. Always confirm ingredients and preparation directly with restaurant staff and the kitchen before ordering, especially for a serious allergy or medical dietary restriction.
