PRIVACY, AS A FEATURE

Most journaling apps will quietly send your most intimate writing through a third-party API, store it on someone else's server, and use it to train a model. Cairn doesn't. Apple's Foundation Models framework lets us run a 3B-parameter language model entirely on your iPhone — fast, free, and offline.

Cairn collects no data. Not your name, not analytics, not crash reports tied to you. Nothing leaves your phone — your journal lives only on this device.

The result is a journal you can actually be honest in.

REQUIREMENTS

Cairn runs on iPhone with iOS 26 or later. The on-device AI features (mood tagging, weekly synthesis, voice transcription) require Apple Intelligence — supported on iPhone 15 Pro and later, and any iPad or Mac with Apple Silicon. On older devices, Cairn still works as a beautiful, simple journal.

Subscription terms: payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel in your iPhone's Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.
