Features & Capabilities

  • APP FEATURES -

• CPR CYCLE CLOCK Tracks 2-minute compression cycles from the moment CPR begins. The cycle counter is always visible. Pause with a single tap when a shock is delivered, then resume a fresh 2-minute block; the cycle number carries forward correctly so the team always knows which round they're on.

• CUSTOM DOSE TEMPLATES Independent per-drug timers with editable intervals and dose caps. Default templates for Epinephrine (q3 min, max 3 doses), Amiodarone, and Vasopressin ship pre-configured. Add your own templates for any med your protocol uses - name, color, interval, and max-dose cap are all configurable. Near-due and maxed-out states are color-coded.

• SHOCK + PAUSE A dedicated yellow Shock button logs each defibrillation event and automatically pauses the CPR clock. Pause / Resume is also available manually whenever the team needs to stop or restart compressions.

• ADD EVENT One-tap logging for rhythm observations (VF, pVT, Asystole, PEA), airway events (Intubation, LMA), fingerstick glucose, and free-text "Other" entries. Every event lands on the timeline with a timestamp.

• HANDOFF SUMMARY When the code ends, a single screen presents the outcome (ROSC, Ceased, or Transferred with destination), the patient's initial rhythm, the medication list, the full chronological timeline, and free-text handoff notes.

• EXPORTER - SHAREABLE PDF AND TEXT Copy a clean text summary to the clipboard for charting, or share a professionally-formatted PDF handoff through your phone's share sheet (email, AirDrop, Messages, Files). The PDF includes a stats grid, a color-coded chronological timeline, a medications table, the patient's initial rhythm, the outcome, and a signed timestamp.

• HISTORY Every finalized code is preserved on the device for future review. Open any past code to re-read the timeline, re-export the handoff, or update its location label.

  • PRIVACY -

Code Blue Flow runs entirely on your device. It collects no personal data, has no analytics or tracking, and makes no network connections. Session records are stored only in local storage on your phone and are never transmitted. Handoff summaries leave the device only through your phone's own share sheet, and only when you choose to export them.

This app is a timer and note-taking tool. It is not a medical device and is not intended to provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or clinical decision support.

  • IMPORTANT -

Code Blue Flow is a timer and a note-taking tool, nothing more. It runs no protocols, makes no recommendations, and gives no clinical advice. It is not a medical device.

Every elapsed time, dose count, and event entry shown in the app comes from what the user enters - the app does not infer, suggest, calculate, or guide. Use it at your own discretion as a supplement to (not a replacement for) your facility's protocols, your team's clinical judgement, the patient's official chart, and current AHA / ACLS guidelines. The team caring for the patient at the bedside remains the sole source of truth.

The author assumes no liability for outcomes arising from use of this app. If something on screen is wrong, the team caring for the patient is authoritative - not the app.
