Mathaino is a daily-problem app for people who graduated a STEM degree and want to stay sharp.

HOW IT WORKS

Every day at midnight, Mathaino publishes five new problems — one each in math, physics, chemistry, engineering, and biology. The same five problems appear for everyone, like NYT Wordle or Connections. You have all day to attempt them.

Each problem is multiple choice with four options. If you're stuck, you can reveal up to five progressive hints. Hint one nudges you toward the right technique; hint five is the full worked solution.

Three outcomes are possible: • Solve cold (no hints used) — earn the green square • Solve with hints — earn the yellow square • Reveal the solution — the square stays gray, no shame

Either way, playing any subject keeps your daily streak alive.

SUBJECTS

We pull from the full undergraduate curriculum, from the year-1 fundamentals you remember to the year-3 and year-4 material you might have forgotten:

• MATH — calculus 1–3, linear algebra, ODEs, probability, series convergence, real-analysis basics • PHYSICS — classical mechanics, electromagnetism (Coulomb through Maxwell), thermodynamics, intro quantum, special relativity • CHEMISTRY — general chem (stoichiometry, pH, kinetics), organic mechanisms (SN1/SN2/E1/E2), physical and inorganic basics • ENGINEERING — statics, dynamics, circuits (KVL/KCL, RLC, phasors), signals and systems, fluid mechanics, materials • BIOLOGY — molecular bio, genetics (Mendelian, Hardy–Weinberg), biochemistry (Michaelis–Menten, glycolysis, ETC), cell signaling

Difficulty rotates through the week: easier on Sunday and Monday, harder on Thursday and Friday — like a crossword.

QUALITY

Problems are AI-generated then automatically validated and reviewed by a second pass to catch math errors and ambiguity. We keep a hand-authored backup pool so you never see a broken problem, and every problem has a one-tap report button if something still slips through.

PRIVACY

Mathaino doesn't have accounts. We don't collect your name, email, or location. Your streak and history live only on your iPhone — delete the app and they're gone forever. No ads, no tracking, no third-party analytics.

WHY MATHAINO
