Most venues only spot inventory loss at monthly stocktake, weeks after the shift that lost it. By then the staff, the pattern, and the chance to fix it are long gone. Pourmetrics SpotCheck turns a phone and a €20 Bluetooth kitchen scale into a complete stock spot-check tool you can run in 5 minutes per bar.

HOW IT WORKS

1. Scan a bottle's barcode (or pick from your venue's product list)
2. Spirits go on the scale — captured automatically when the reading settles. Cans, mixers, and sealed beer get counted by the unit.
3. Compare against POS sales to spot variance per SKU, in shots and euros

WHAT'S INCLUDED • Bluetooth scale support — works with any standard BLE kitchen scale. We've tested with the Accuweight CK780 (~€20 on Amazon). • Barcode catalog shared across venues — scan a bottle once, it's available everywhere with calibrated weights. • Per-venue spot-check templates — require specific items on every check, plus rotate a random sample from a pool so the long tail of your catalog gets eyes on it over time. • Variance reports — actual stock vs (opening + transfers in − transfers out − POS sales), sorted by worst shrinkage first. • Stock movement reports — opening / closing / used in shots, exportable as CSV. • POS imports — upload daily sales CSV from any POS (Square, Lightspeed, EposNow, etc.). • Role-based access — managers see variance numbers; bar staff perform spot checks. Variance visibility for staff is configurable per venue. • Multi-venue support — one organisation, multiple bars, single team management. • Daily digest email — one-line summary of the day's variance hits, in your inbox.
