Features & Capabilities

A function is shown. Five dots sit on the grid. Drag each one to where you think the curve passes. Submit — the true curve draws itself and your dots pulse green or red.

Plot Point Echo gives you an equation and asks you to read it with your eyes.

A function appears above the grid. Five vertical tracks mark specific x values across the coordinate plane. On each track sits a blue dot. Your job is to drag each dot to the y-position where you think the function passes — to predict, before seeing the curve, where the graph actually goes.

Then you submit. The true curve draws itself across the grid from left to right, tracing the function exactly. As it passes each track, the dot at that position pulses. Green means you were within a third of a grid unit — you read the function correctly. Amber means you were close. Red means the curve passed somewhere you didn't expect.

This is the moment the game is built around. Not the dragging — the reveal. Seeing where you were right and where the curve surprised you. Understanding why a function like f(x) = x² curves upward symmetrically while f(x) = x³ − x dips below zero between −1 and 1 before rising again. The curve doesn't just show you the answer. It shows you why your prediction was wrong, and that difference is what builds intuition.

At low scores the functions are simple — linear equations with clear slopes, standard parabolas. The curve reveal feels obvious in retrospect. Then sinusoidal functions appear, and the periodic rise and fall requires a different kind of reading. Then exponentials, where the curve is nearly flat for negative x values and rises steeply for positive ones — a shape that catches players consistently until they have seen it enough times that it becomes instinctive.

At high scores the functions are composite — a sine wave with a linear drift, a cubic with two turning points, a square wave approximation. The equation is always shown. The information is always there. Plot Point Echo is not a memory game. It is a translation game — from symbol to shape, from equation to curve, from mathematics to geometry.

No ads. No arithmetic required. No wrong answers during play — only the reveal, and what you learn from it.

Just the equation, the dots, and the curve waiting to be drawn.
