oipMe is a mobile SIP softphone for people who already have a SIP account — through a CPaaS provider, a hosted PBX, or their own server — and just want a phone app that handles it well.
WHAT IT IS
VoipMe is a softphone, not a phone service. You bring credentials from your SIP provider (Telnyx, Bandwidth, Twilio, Plivo, SignalWire) and VoipMe turns your iPhone into a desk extension. Calls go directly between you and your provider — nothing is routed through our servers.
WHY IT’S DIFFERENT
• Native ringing. Inbound calls show up as a real system call on iPhone (CallKit). Lock screen, Bluetooth headset, and CarPlay all work because the OS handles the call.
• Push that actually wakes the app. Inbound calls fire APNs high-priority pushes through our relay, so the app rings even when killed by the system or on a locked device — without keeping a battery-killing TCP socket open.
• TLS by default. Signaling runs over TLS to your provider. SIP password is stored in the iOS Keychain — never in plain text.
• Opus when available, G.711 elsewhere. Wideband audio when your provider supports it, narrowband fallback for PSTN.
• Hardware echo cancellation using iOS VoiceProcessingIO.

WORKS WITH

• Bandwidth, Twilio, Plivo, SignalWire (coming soon — adapters in progress)
For outbound + REGISTER, anything that speaks RFC 3261 SIP works fine.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
• A SIP account (server, username, password)
• Optional: a webhook URL from your provider’s dashboard for inbound calls (the app walks you through wiring it)
PRIVACY YOU CAN VERIFY
• We don’t have user accounts and don’t ask for your email or name.
• We never record, transcribe, store, or analyze call audio.
• We don’t sell or share data. There is no advertising SDK.
• What we do see: a push token (so we can wake the app) and an opaque call-routing identifier. Both can be deleted any time via Settings → Privacy → Delete account.

WHAT IT’S NOT
• Not a phone service. Calling charges come from your SIP provider.
• Not for emergency calls. Always use a mobile carrier or landline for 911 / 112 / 999.
• Not a softphone replacement for an entire call center (no queues, no IVR, no auto-attendant).
