Features & Capabilities

1,000+ hand-vetted NYC restaurants with must-try dishes, 100+ happy hour spots, plus 220 farmers markets & a food-events calendar. No ads, no tracking, no account.

NYCEats is a hand-curated map of what's actually worth eating and drinking in New York.

Swipe through 1,000+ vetted restaurants, 220 farmers markets, and a year-round calendar of NYC food events across Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx, and Staten Island, plus 100+ Manhattan happy hours with live, hour-by-hour timing. No accounts, no ads, no tracking.

RESTAURANTS: Pan the map to filter restaurants to what's around you, or flip from CARDS to INDEX for a ranked ledger of every spot in view. Every restaurant has an Editor's Note that captures the room, a Tasty Index that ranks quality and popularity, and a Menu section with must-try dishes, each paired with a count of how many sources recommended it. Tap through for vibe and best-for tags, walk-in friendliness, heads-up caveats, price and service signals, day-by-day opening hours (today at a glance, the full week one tap away), and one-tap deep links to call, visit the website, get directions in Apple Maps, or open Google Maps. Filter by 22 cuisine categories (Latin American, East Asian, Italian, Eastern European, South Asian, Mediterranean, Vegan, Bakery & Desserts), drill into 100+ specific cuisines (bars included), and set a price range from $ to $$$$.

HAPPY HOURS: New: 100+ Manhattan happy hours, with timing that's actually live. The feed sorts by what's happening right now: LIVE NOW rises to the top, then STARTS SOON and LATER TODAY. Every spot carries a countdown ("ends in 1h 13m"), with a progress bar on the ones already pouring. See how many are live this minute, scout any day of the week with the Deals by Day switcher, and open a venue for its full FOOD and DRINKS lists with prices, neighborhood, vibe, price level, Instagram, and one-tap directions. Pan the map to filter happy hours to your block.

FARMERS MARKETS: 220 GrowNYC, Down to Earth, and independent farmers markets, with the schedule that matters: open today, this weekend, year-round only, EBT-accepting only. Filter by borough, narrow by day of week, and see which markets work with SNAP/EBT. 151 do.

FOOD EVENTS: A 2026-spanning calendar of food festivals, pop-ups, and chef collaborations across NYC. Grouped by month so you can scan ahead, with links out to the source page for tickets or RSVP.

SAVE & PLAN: Save any restaurant, happy hour, farmers market, or event to your own named lists, kept on your iPhone. Search any NYC neighborhood or address to recenter the map wherever you're headed next.

DESIGNED FOR NYC: Two themes ship in the app: THE ZINE, a daytime newsprint-editorial look, and LATE NIGHT, a neon-on-charcoal palette built for after dark. Flip between them with one tap.

PRIVACY-FIRST: NYCEats does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data. No accounts. No ads. No tracking. No analytics SDKs. Location, when you grant it, is used only on your iPhone to center the map near you. The restaurant, happy hour, market, and event data is bundled inside the app. No network calls fetch your activity.
