Miss a Day, Contact Is Alerted
Live alone? One tap a day says you're okay. Go quiet past your own limit and an alert email to your emergency contact is ready to send.
Living alone shouldn't mean nobody notices when something goes wrong. Safety Check-In turns that worry into one small daily habit: open the app, tap once, done. Your streak grows, and your emergency contact stays armed in the background.
Most safety apps want your location, a monthly fee to a call centre, or a panic button you have to be conscious to press. This one works the other way round: it watches for silence. You decide how many quiet days are too many (1 to 7). The app counts your missed days, warns you before you cross the line, and puts a ready-to-send alert email to your emergency contact in front of you, sent from your own Mail app, from your own address.
Safety Check-In is a personal peace-of-mind tool. It is not a monitored alarm service, a medical device, or an emergency dispatch line. In a real emergency, call your local emergency number.
WHAT YOU GET
- One tap a day is the entire routine, with a breath-ring animation, haptic confirmation and an optional note about how you are doing
- Your own quiet-day limit from 1 to 7 days, so crossing it prepares an alert email to your emergency contact and records it in your alert log
- A real test alert you can send today, so you know the address and the wording work long before you ever need them
- Travel Mode pauses alerts for a date range and re-arms itself the day you get back, and Quiet Hours hold an overnight alert until morning
- Pulse turns your taps into a current streak, a best streak, a month heat-map, a day-of-week rhythm, an 8-week deep dive and a CSV or plain-text export
- Guardian answers your setup questions offline, and the Learn library walks through home safety, solo hiking, choosing a contact and spotting a health emergency
PERFECT FOR
- People living alone who want someone to notice if they go quiet
- Adult children keeping a light, non-intrusive eye on an independent parent
- Lone workers and night-shift staff who finish and travel home by themselves
- Solo hikers, van-lifers and travellers heading somewhere with patchy signal
WHY NOT JUST TEXT SOMEONE EVERY DAY?
Because a text has no threshold and no memory. You forget on the day it matters, and the other person assumes you are simply busy. Here the missed days are counted for you, a warning notification reaches you before the limit, and the alert email is already written and addressed. Silence does the work, instead of your willpower.
PRIVACY
Everything stays on your iPhone. Check-ins, notes, your contact, your alert logs are stored locally on the device. There is no account, no sign-up, no cloud sync, no analytics and no advertising. The app never asks for or tracks your location. Alert emails are composed in Apple's own Mail sheet and sent from your address, with you tapping send.
FULL ACCESS
Safety Check-In is a premium app. Full access unlocks the complete experience: unlimited check-in history, CSV and text export, statistics, the 8-week analytics deep dive, Travel Mode, Quiet Hours, test alerts and alert logs. Choose the plan that suits you: a weekly subscription, a yearly subscription, or a one-time Lifetime purchase that never expires. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and you can manage or cancel them any time in your Apple Account settings.
