WHY THIS RESEARCH IS IMPORTANT

Depression, anxiety, and burnout are among the most common health problems of our time. Despite this, we still know surprisingly little about how everyday behavior, exercise, sleep, and physical health are related to the development and progression of these illnesses. This is precisely where the research projects on PULSE come in – with the goal of better understanding mental illnesses and effectively preventing them.

WHAT THE APP DOES

PULSE combines short questionnaires in everyday life (experience sampling) with objective sensor and health data – depending on the project and only with your explicit consent. This creates a realistic picture of how behavior and physical conditions are related to mental well-being – something that would not be possible in traditional laboratory studies.

DATA PROTECTION

Your data is safe with us: GDPR-compliant, encrypted, processed exclusively within the EU, and pseudonymized – neither your real name nor your email address will be linked to your study data. No advertising, no tracking, and no sharing with commercial third parties. You can withdraw your participation at any time without penalty and request the deletion of your data.
