This mood tracker eschews boring numbers and transforms self-observation into a visual, almost tactile experience. Instead of a scale of 1–10, it uses a ladder of states, from "bad" to "excellent." You don't count, you choose the rung you're on today.
Every day begins with a simple action: open the app and mark your mood with a single tap. The visual ladder helps you understand yourself more quickly—sometimes, just a glance is enough to grasp where you are. Add a short note if you like: a thought, an event, a reason, or simply a word that describes the day.
Over time, a vivid picture of your mood develops. Timeline shows how you've climbed and descended the ladder, which days were stable and which were off-kilter. This isn't just a story, but a way to spot patterns: what influences you, which periods are easier, and when you need to pay more attention to yourself.
The app gently motivates you to come back every day: the streak counter shows how many days in a row you've been checking in. There's no pressure, but rather a sense of rhythm and habit.
Flexibility is key. In Step Library, you create your own scale: name the levels based on your feelings ("squeezed," "okay," "on the rise"), change the order, and choose colors and icons. This makes the tracker personal—it speaks your language, not a universal one.
The minimalist main screen keeps things uncluttered: today's step, the current streak, quick access to adding a new entry. Everything is there to avoid distraction from the main thing—answering honestly to yourself.
The settings allow you to manage privacy and notifications: reminders can be turned on to avoid missing check-ins, or turned off if you want complete freedom.
