URLStrip

URLStrip removes tracking junk from links before you open, copy, or share them.

Many links include extra parameters used for marketing attribution, analytics, affiliate tracking, social tracking, and cross-site measurement. URLStrip removes known tracking parameters while preserving the parts of the link that are needed for the page to work.

Use URLStrip from the main app, the iOS Share Sheet, Safari, or the QR scanner:

• Paste a link into URLStrip and clean it locally. • Send a link to URLStrip from Safari or another app with the Share Sheet. • Enable the Safari Extension to clean Safari links while browsing. • Scan a QR code with the camera before opening it. • Import a QR-code image from Photos and review the destination.

URLStrip is local-first. Link cleaning happens on your device. You do not need an account, and URLStrip does not use a cloud link-cleaning service. URLStrip does not collect browsing history or keep a history of the links you clean.

URLStrip also includes an optional URL safety review. It can flag suspicious-looking links, including unusual domains, IP-address hosts, excessive subdomains, data URLs, and possible lookalike domains. This review is informational; it is not a guarantee that a link is safe.

If URLStrip misses a tracker, you can visit Tacita Labs support resources to report it manually. URLStrip for iOS does not send reports from inside the app.
