Features & Capabilities

The 2026 Bristol Bay sockeye season is here. Real-time openings, emergency orders, escapement counts, Port Moller index, and ADF&G forecasts all on deck.

Sockeye Run is the Bristol Bay sockeye dashboard built for the people who actually fish the run. Skippers, deckhands, setnetters, and tenders all need the same thing every July: the latest ADF&G escapement, the real-time district openings, the emergency orders, and a forecast they can trust before the next tide. Sockeye Run puts all of it on one screen.

WHAT YOU GET

• Live run summary by district — Naknek-Kvichak, Egegik, Ugashik, Nushagak, and Togiak. Daily catch, escapement, and total run, refreshed as ADF&G publishes. Compare against the preseason forecast in real time.

• Escapement by river — Naknek, Kvichak, Alagnak, Egegik, Ugashik, Wood, Nushagak, Igushik, and Togiak. Cumulative counts vs. goal, day-over-day change, and the date of the last tower reading.

• Emergency orders, openings & announcements — push notifications the moment ADF&G announces a fishing period, an extension, a closure, or a bay-wide advisory. No more refreshing the ADF&G site between sets.

• Port Moller Test Fishery (PMTF) — daily catch index by station and age-class composition by stock (1.2, 2.2, 1.3, 2.3) so you can read the run before it hits the bay.

• Boats — district-level fleet counts (Naknek-Kvichak, Egegik, Ugashik, Nushagak, Togiak) with hourly history, so you can see where boats are stacking up.

• Run-strength meter & age composition — bay-wide signal showing whether the run is tracking ahead of, on, or behind forecast, plus the projected age-class breakdown.

• Preseason forecast — full ADF&G inshore run, harvest, and escapement projections for every system, side-by-side with last season's actuals.

• Weather built for the bay — wind, sea state, temperatures, and the marine forecast for Naknek, Dillingham, King Salmon, Egegik, Ugashik, Pilot Point, and Togiak. Optional alerts for gale warnings and small-craft advisories.

• Multi-season history — flip between seasons (2026, 2025, 2024 and back) to compare runs, escapement, and openings year over year.
