Tempest station dashboard
Live Tempest weather station data on your iPad. Mission-control style dashboard. 24/7 display, with named conditions, alerts, and full control over your data.
Atmos Console turns your iPad into a real-time observatory dashboard for your Tempest weather station telemetry. Built for clarity and 24/7 operation, it’s designed to optionally operate as an always on display for wall mounting, desktop, or kitchen counter. Stable dashboard, no distracting animations.
Local live data, your way
• Direct UDP from your Tempest station over your local WiFi network. No account sign-up required, no API token required. Works entirely on your local WiFi network.
• Optionally add a Tempest Personal Access Token for history backfill, gap repair, and a safety net when local UDP is unavailable.
• All observation history is stored locally on your iPad. You control retention, export to CSV, and delete anytime. No cloud sync, no tracking.
• Only your station; nothing else. No blended forecasts, no other stations, no ads. Every number on screen comes directly from your Tempest sensors — nothing else mixed in.
Dashboard at a glance
• Readable telemetry at a glance: temperature, wind speed and direction, pressure, humidity, solar, UV, rain, and lightning.
• Wind rose: see how wind direction and speed have varied over the last 3, 6, 12, 24, or 72 hours, with playback and a custom date range.
• Telemetry strips with synchronized cross-strip cursor for correlating temperature, pressure, wind, humidity, solar, and rain at any moment in your history.
• Conditions panel: a calm log of detected weather events — frontal passages, clearing, sustained wind, lightning episodes, heat stress, fog, and named regional phenomena (sea breeze, marine layer, foehn / chinook, dryline, Santa Ana, Diablo, Nor’easter, Southerly Buster).
• An on-device Core ML classifier broadens pattern detection beyond what rule-based logic alone can catch. On iPads with Apple Intelligence (iPad Pro M1 or later, iPad Air M1 or later, iPad mini 7th gen), each detected condition is accompanied by a plain-language narration generated on your device using Apple’s Foundation Models framework.
• All analysis stays on-device — your observations never leave your iPad.
• Daily pattern summary and station records (highs, lows, peak gust, etc.) so you can recognize what’s typical at your site.
Built for always-on
• Optional Keep Screen On for wall or kiosk use on iPad.
• Slow pixel-shift burn-in mitigation for 24/7 displays.
• Calm, stable layout with no flashing, no sudden modal popups, and no distracting animations.
• Mission-control style boot sequence with explicit live / degraded / stale / offline states so you know what's happening with your station
• Local alert notifications (optional) for lightning, severe wind, and rain start, with per-category controls.
Privacy and control
• No account required for local UDP.
• Personal Access Token and station identifiers are stored only on your device (token in the system keychain).
• Observation history, retention, CSV export, and local delete are entirely under your control and explained in onboarding and Settings.
• No analytics, no tracking, no advertising.
