Log your trips on the water
Logge turns your iPhone or iPad into a full logbook – built for use on the water.
Underway
Start a trip in seconds and begin logging right away. Every log entry captures GPS position, course, speed (kn), wind force (Beaufort), wind direction, sea state, visibility, air pressure, water depth, water temperature, sail trim, and engine status. GPS data fills in automatically.
Over a Wi-Fi connection (TCP or UDP), Logge connects to compatible chartplotters and NMEA multiplexers – position, course over ground, speed, wind, water depth, and temperature are pulled directly into every log entry.
Boat & Maneuvers
Choose sailboat or motorboat – forms show only the relevant fields. Quick actions for tacking, gybing, reefing, engine, anchor, and more create pre-filled log entries. Automatic course-change detection suggests an entry as soon as your heading changes significantly. Air pressure is captured via the iPhone barometer – even offline – with a trend arrow (rising, steady, or falling) on every entry. Departure and destination harbor are suggested automatically, and every field shows its source (GPS, NMEA, weather, barometer).
Route Recording
Logge records your route in the background – even with the screen off. Recording interval and GPS accuracy are freely adjustable. The route map shows automatic waypoints and manual log entries, color-coded by speed. The map is interactive: log points are tappable, harbors are marked, and an overview shows all trips.
Trip Review
Every completed trip includes a route map with speed gradient, plus a breakdown of total distance, distance under sail, distance under engine, average and top speed.
Statistics
Total nautical miles, days at sea, sailing share, engine hours, and longest trip are shown in a tile layout. A bar chart shows trips per month. The records card lists the fastest, stormiest, and longest trip, as well as the earliest and latest trip of the season. Set a personal annual goal in nautical miles and track it right in the tab. A wind rose, weather history, and sailing share analyze each trip individually. Favorite harbors and Beaufort distribution round out the review – filterable by boat and year.
Export & Organization
Export the full logbook as a PDF in A4 landscape with a print margin for hole-punching and filing, or export each trip's route as a GPX track for Navionics, OpenCPN, and other apps. Log your crew per trip – it appears in the trip details and is printed in the PDF. Trips are grouped and filtered by month. Boat profiles are saved and auto-filled for new trips.
