WalkPhase compares your real crossing data against international engineering standards — the same ones transport authorities use. It checks whether the walk phase is adequate for average pedestrians at 1.0 m/s, elderly pedestrians at 0.8 m/s, and mobility-impaired pedestrians at 0.6 m/s.

If the crossing fails, you'll know. More importantly, you'll have the evidence.

Every signalised crossing you use, logged into an activity feed. Each entry shows walk phase, wait, crossing time, and a plain-language verdict: Comfortable, Tight, or More time needed. No taps, no timer to start.

LIVE CARD FOR THE JUNCTION AHEAD

As you approach a saved crossing, a Live Card surfaces the walk phase, your pace, and estimated crossing time — before you look at the light. It updates through At kerb → Crossing → Complete automatically. If the walk phase isn't enough time for your pace, WalkPhase warns you at the kerb so you can wait for a fresh signal.

FIVE-DIMENSION SAFETY SCORE

Every crossing gets a safety score built from five factors: crossing-time adequacy, wait time, traffic speed, infrastructure quality, and signal clearance. Not a guess. Your data.

ONE-TAP COUNCIL REPORTS

Generate a professional PDF safety report — with timing charts, clearance analysis, and recommended actions — and email it directly to your local authority. WalkPhase auto-detects the responsible road authority, whether that's Dublin City Council, Cork County Council, or a US state DOT. One tap.

SMART DETECTION THAT STAYS OUT OF YOUR WAY

If another WalkPhase user has observed the timing at a junction, you'll get an estimate on your first visit — before you've contributed your own. Anonymous. Hashed contributor tokens only. No accounts.

Full crossing history saved locally, with GPS traces and accelerometer graphs. Weather recorded per crossing. CSV export for your own analysis.
