New in 1.3: overdub with undo, fully remappable MIDI, and CYCLE — run the whole looper from a single foot switch.

LoopMix is a minimalist AUv3 looper for iPad, built for live performers. Record, overdub and undo your parts hands-free from a MIDI pedal — and hear your own mix on stage, without a sound engineer.

Run one instance per input in AUM — voice, guitar, keys — and you have a full multi-track looper, with its own fader for every source.

TRACK FADER The vertical fader controls your track level at all times — recording, playback and standby. Use it as your mix fader directly inside the plugin, independently for each instance.

REAL-TIME RECORDING Up to 60 seconds of loop recording per instance at 48 kHz. Mono in, stereo out. Hit Record, play your part, hit Record again — the loop starts instantly.

OVERDUB Layer new parts over a playing loop without changing its length. The Feedback control in Settings sets how much of the existing loop survives each pass — keep every layer for endless sound-on-sound, or let older ones fade away.

UNDO / REDO Took a pass that didn't land? Undo removes it and restores the loop exactly as it was. Tap again to bring it back.

LIVE MONITORING Your input stays audible over the playing loop, overdub engaged or not — rehearse a part before you commit it.

QUANTIZED RECORDING Lock your loop length to the host tempo: 1, 2, 4 or 8 bars — or ∞ for free length. Recording starts on the next downbeat with a visual countdown, and stops automatically at the chosen bar length — perfect, glitch-free loops every time. Pause and resume also re-sync to the next downbeat.

GLITCH-FREE LOOP POINT Inaudible 5 ms Hann crossfade at the loop boundary — no clicks, no dips, no length drift between cycles.

WAVEFORM DISPLAY Live waveform strip with playhead cursor and bar position indicator. Toggle between waveform and spectrum analyser from the settings panel.

MASTER / SLAVE SYNC Tap Master on one instance and all others automatically become Slaves. Every user command — Record, Play, Rewind, Clear, Overdub, Undo — is broadcast instantly across tracks. Each slave keeps its own bar length, so a 1-bar loop can run alongside a 4-bar loop.

HOST TRANSPORT FOLLOW Pause or restart the host transport in AUM and every instance follows in lock-step — no orphaned loops left running.

MIDI FOOT PEDAL Full hands-free control via MIDI CC — and every action is remappable. Press Learn and tap your pedal, type the CC number, or nudge it step by step; a padlock freezes each row once it's set. Defaults: Record (CC 80), Play/Pause (CC 81), Rewind (CC 82), Clear (CC 83), Overdub (CC 84), Undo (CC 85). Per-instance MIDI channel filter. Connect a pedal, route it in AUM, and never touch the screen mid-performance.

CYCLE One switch drives the whole looper: empty → Record, recording → Play, playing → Overdub. Run LoopMix from a single-button pedal — assign CYCLE any CC in Settings.

SPECTRUM ANALYSER + VU METER Real-time FFT display from 80 Hz to 20 kHz. LED VU meter with LUFS momentary readout (ITU-R BS.1770 K-weighting). See and hear exactly what's in your mix.

HOST TRANSPORT DISPLAY Live BPM, animated beat cells and time signature read directly from the host. Loop position indicator so you always know where you are inside the bar.

THREE INSTANCES, ZERO DROPOUTS Three simultaneous LoopMix instances on a single iPad, without dropouts. SIMD-accelerated audio path and UI polling.

COMPACT VIEW Resize the plugin window and the interface adapts automatically — fader and VU meter on the left, transport buttons in a column on the right.

5 COLOUR THEMES Dark, Night, Forest, Amber, Slate. Tap the logo to switch themes on stage.

— Requires an AUv3 host app. Designed for AUM, where every feature is tested. Other AUv3 hosts that support Audio Unit music effects may also work. LoopMix does not load in GarageBand.
